Sunset

As the sun sets over the pines,

Dipping lower, lower below the horizon line,

In colors of vivid red, orange and pink,

It performs a stunning exit as it sinks.

The dusk links day with night,

Acting as a bridge between dark and light.

Then the moon climbs up high,

And starry celestial images fill the night sky.
