“All water has a perfect memory and is forever trying to get back to where it was.” Toni Morrison
An ocean moves with the tides, a lake offers up waves rolling on a shore, rivers course along a predetermined path and fountains spray water into the breeze. All of them suggest and express the fluidity and liquidity of water such a flexible substance that can be hard as frozen ice and soft as a gentle rain.
I’m always tempted by photo challenges involving water. If you visited my blog before, you know I have a fondness for H2O. When I saw Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Water, I couldn’t resist. You see Cee lives in the Pacific Northwest where there are wonderful views of water in the region.
Here are some of my water photos from the Midwest:

Beautiful water photos! The blue vortograph is gorgeous.
Love the Toni Morrison quote.
