Global Glimpses, Short Films Festival

I want to travel to far off horizons and explore a vast wilderness on frozen tundra or rugged mountains; have a pleasant diversion in a foreign city; and experience new cultures and wildlife.

Some days I want to be transported to new places without having to pack luggage or by a ticket.  Film and videos offer me an exciting excursion to other worlds through images, sound and motion.  Short videos provide global glimpses in amazing films that I can view in a brief amount of time.

I am attending a free online festival of film shorts from around the world at Vimeo Staff Picks.  It’s a lot of fun with something for everyone with ones of animation, monochrome, wilderness and mountains, travel and cities.  Staff Picks is a curated festival of selected films offering a variety of styles and themes.

If you’re looking for ones to watch on break, at lunch, while commuting in your free time and want to see inventive, good cinematography; grab some popcorn and watch the film picks.  I’m featuring just a few here, and you can view the full amazing collection of staff picks at Vimeo site.
