Weekly Photo Challenge – Unique

orange duck

The light orange duck stands out among the crowd of other ducks.

“But I have a new love for that glittering instrument, the human soul. It is a lovely and unique thing in the universe. It is always attacked and never destroyed – because ‘Thou mayest.” John Steinbeck, East of Eden

  13. Exhibitionist! must be a drake!!
Poor thing though..was he simply seeking company? Was he looking for his ain folk? There’s a story in that there pic.
The quote? As per usual you give me food for thought – through one of my favourite authors this time. His ‘Grapes of Wrath’ I maintain, should be compulsory reading for all sixth-formers (18 yr olds) and those beyond. What a man John Steinbeck was, what wealth he left us!
