Home is where the heart is and mine is in the Heartland that is my home. Yet, it’s like there is a map inside of us that leads the way back home. When we make a new home, we add a location to that internal map. There is the place we always call home from our past and our present one on the map.

I know that it is thought and love that turns a dwelling into a home. Photographs that evoke home for me are of the simple things:

afternoon sun streaming in through the window
hot meal on a cold day and the smell of homemade bread
sitting on a porch at sunset
