Camp Collection

Camp Sagawau, in Lemont, Ill., is a camp for children, nature learning center, and cross-country skiing training center with wooded trails and canyon.  The learning center has a collection of tools from indigenous people who lived in the region and of cross-country skis and birdhouses.

It’s an odd mix of collections, but they are all connected to nature.  That is what Camp Sagawau is all about–connecting to nature.  Are you looking for that connection?  Maybe it’s time to go to back to camp.

  1. Love your post! I’m all about working with kids and encouraging them to love books and activities…so important for them to learn to love and protect nature and the environment. 🙂

  3. Useful information. Fortunate me I found your site unintentionally, and I’m surprised why this accident did not came about earlier! I bookmarked it.

  4. Sorry…like the write up but never liked camp. I think because I grew up in a State Forrest to play in, camp just seemed like home.
