M is for mentor. A person who guides, advises and inspires someone is a mentor. Do you remember the first or favorite mentor? A grandfather who taught you how fish or an aunt who showed how to bake cookies or read books to you? Are you a mentor?
We always remember one special person who shaped our lives through their mentoring. It might be a teacher, big brother or sister, parent or spiritual leader, etc.? Whether we spend a brief time or years with them, a bond is formed that lasts.
Mentors teach and guide us by example and involving us in the process. M is for mentors who give their time and share knowledge. They take time to make time for others.
Mentors teach us about the power and lasting effect that the positive guiding relationships can have on ourselves and others. They care and they share their time and knowledge. Maybe there would be less chaos in the world if there were more positive mentors.
My “M” Story Challenge is the about mentors.
