“The hardest thing in life is to know which bridge to cross and which to burn,” David Russell.
A bridge is a symbol of passage, and a structure that we cross on our journeys forward or back. I think it’s a piece of structural art that is built for us to safely travel over and to see the view as we make the crossing.
For a Weekly Photo Challenge: Forward and Travel theme: Bridges, I’m posting A Bridge Forward.
What bridges have you crossed in your life?

Nice post, I like the formatting in particular.
I used different angles and types of bridges. Glad you liked it.
Suka sekali dengan gambar jembatannya.
I’m sorry if I use my language.
thank you 🙂

Congratulations John! You are a versatile blogger. 🙂 Thank you for the nomination.
Great variety . The Batavia Bridge photograph is almost PopArt style with its arch and green water reflection the way you have captured it 🙂 fascinating .
I was on a trail path that runs under the bridge, and saw the bright colors and reflections. I thought the same thing as you did when I saw it.
I love it when someone ‘sees’ something like that the same as moi … 🙂

Love your bridges. I would be afraid to cross the footbridge.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
It swayed only a little bit. 🙂
Great Post and great quote of Russell ! I have had the same idea ! 😀
I want to see your post. 🙂

I googled bridge forward and actually found a prom that someone wrote. I got a giggle out of this title, but then I perused the photos and – wow! Very cool!
I’ve crossed a few 🙂 and burned a few 😦 c’est la vie…
that is funny about the google bridge being a prom, I’ve crossed, singed some and only burned a couple
Nice post and funny comments!
I liked skyward post of highrise skyscrapers among the clouds.
I have 1000 building pics- thanks..I always bump into people taking them too : )
Me too. 🙂 You’ve some scenic street and architectural photography and cityscapes.
Thanks- I need to start the One a day post but the pressure…I have enough for a year of Architecture alone
Inspiring photography – very thought-provoking. I am always humbled by how often children choose the bridge in sand tray therapy to portray what they have been through and where they hope to go. It is one of the most powerful symbols of solution and resolution. Thank you for these beautiful images.
thank you and I feel the same about your winter walk posts along the coast 🙂
Thank you, c&c. Sometimes it’s hard to see a solution from the edge of the water. The horizon is so vast…

Oh, I’ve crossed a lot of bridges. Burnt the odd one too. But I love yours.
🙂 Now I realize that if I burn one, I have to be prepared to wade or swim or travel a lot further.

Very nice bridge images.
Love bridges of all kinds from ancient stone bridges on Bodmin Moor in Devon to the amazing new Vasco de Gamma bridge in Lisbon – I think the iconic Golden Gate Bridge still has to be my favorite – subject to change as I travel.
