I spent Memorial Day weekend traveling through open spaces in heartland places riding between the rain showers to the sunshine. I took this photo on a country road while riding along. It’s a landscape image of an overcast sky in stormy weather in a great expanse of sky and flat lands with a farmhouse, barn and silos. It’s a typical sight to see in driving through the country and shows the openness of land. The rain has turned the fields and meadows a lush green color.
The farm seems isolated when I view it from the speed, distance of a main road. It was surrounded by trees for a windbreak and plowed fields with soil tilled for planting. It is a few miles up the road from the next town over.
My picture may be a little blurry from the rain and the car ride; but it’s a view of Midwest country. I hope you had a pleasant Memorial Day too.
