Today is the first day of summer. Spring is going out like a lion, and summer is coming in like a lamb. It’s a cool start to summer with temperatures going up and then down. It’s chilly by the beaches. I want to move into summer exploring shoreline, parks and towns.

For a Weekly Photo Challenge: The Sign Says and the start of summer, I’m sharing a surf shop sign photo. It conveys summer to me with waves and sandy beaches with a little nostalgia.
When I see it I think flip-flop sandals, beach bag, fish fries and summer.
It’s a typical sign in lakeside towns around the Great Lakes region where people flock to from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
