The day was so bright and the sun so strong when I took these pictures, that the light was reflecting all over the place as I watched the feathered sunbathers.
The trio of gulls blended in with landscape as they stood their idle enjoying the sun, warm breezes. As I watched them winter seemed so far behind in those moments.
As I looked at the sunbathing birds it was easy to think that winter was over. I know it looks like a typical beach, coastal scene of gulls on a tropical white sandy beach taken with a zoom lens.
I guess it’s all in the perspective.
A photo that fools the eye into thinking it’s a photo of three gulls by sun and sea, instead of a gulls on an ice sheet on a frozen lake during the harsh Midwestern winter.
