Early Spring Swamp

As I hike by swamps in the woods, I see that the snow has melted. The high water level attracts all kinds of waterfowl and birds to the swamps where they can fish, and roost on sunken trees.

snow has melted and the water is high in the spring swamp

The ducks and geese seem to blend in with still wintry swamp colors. There are many choruses of songbirds singing over the honking of the larger birds.

Ah the sounds of spring.
