There is a seasonal rhythm to prairies, just like coastlines or cornfields, and summer is the tall season.
The grasses, flowers and other plants sprout up high in the summer sun. A gentle breeze sends a wave of motion over the prairie. There is such an profusion of green and other colors that it can be hard to notice the assortment of plants.
