The sunflower is like a giant daisy. Seeing a sunflower evokes the same reaction from me as seeing a Great Dane, their large and majestic appearance make me smile and think “Wow they are big.”
Yet when I stand close to peer into the center of the sunflower, I see the center looks like thousands of tiny flowers–lots of texture.
So for a Weekly Photo Challenge – Texture, I bring on the sun, sunflower.
Great choice and wonderful capture!
Great take. Fabulous flower. I love how it took up my whole iPad screen. Bam!
I love the way that flower just leaped out at me when I clicked onto the site! Wow!
WOW … I agree … that’s BIG.
I like it for the entry to the challenge. There’s texture looking straight at you.
Oh well that’s just showing off – finding a sunflower so big. Magnificent!
sometimes I drive past field of sunflowers in the Midwest that are grown by farmers

I love sunflowers! They grow all over in fields in Southeast Michigan.
