I hike along a swamp and I hear that slap of fish fins and frogs jumping across the murky surface. The sound of birds mingles into the swamp symphony, and the sound of wind rustling tall grass and reeds.
There is a profusion of color in and on the water from lily pads, algae and plants in shades of green, white and yellow. Still the pink swamp rose stands out from all the surrounding green.
A large pink blossom that attracts the birds, the bees and me.
It’s beautiful, c & c. How long does the bloom last?
for most of the summer

Funny that it’s called a rose when it is obviously from the hibiscus family
