Fall Church

If the weather is rough, I sometimes trade woodlands trails for small town streets for a hike.

So I headed to a small picturesque town to walk sidewalks, instead of a forest hike, lined with trees showing off autumn colors.

Fall Church

Fall Church

As I walk down a hill, I see tall steeple ascends at an angle into the sky. The tall elegant arched windows on the steeple have a Victorian look. The colorful trees in autumn gold, orange and red surround the church add to this fall city scene. Shop owners are beginning to dress the windows in decorations for the holiday season.

For more Norman Rockwell style sights of city sidewalks dressed in holiday style, I visit small and mid-sized towns that I can amble around on a day trip.
