Winter Swan

“The swan, with arched neck Between her white wings mantling proudly, rows Her state with oary feet.”
John Milton

While walking on a frozen path, last thing I expected to see in the winter was swan. There was it was the elegant white swan swimming on a gray windswept lake with rolling waves hitting the shore. The sky was gray, the water was gray and the swan was the color of the snow coating the shoreline.

It glided along with arched neck as easily as if it was a summer day, the expressive and serene swan.
