The crispness of winter chills the air as animals, nature and I await the Spring. Any sunbeams are a welcome oasis of warmth in the frosty landscape.
I watch ducks in a scattered row sunbathing on the snow. Their feathers are fluffed out and they face the sun together, feathered companions sharing the heat as long as it lasts. How many weeks to Spring and the thaw?
I’m looking forward to it as much as they are.
