I’ve reset my clock ahead an hour for the seasonal time change. Nature seems to have also sprung forward with warmer weather.
The woods and forests have receding white backgrounds against bright blue skies, and they attract hikers to their trails. I take advantage of the sunny weather to hike through a forest of bristling trees, with their branches rattling in the breeze.
Hills are still smooth slopes of snow, but above the hills jagged sunlight slants through melting snow and ice on the trails. I walk past ripples of ice water winding down to a creek. Everything is thawing out from winter’s freeze, and I am too.
It not bring the calendar Spring, but nature says the new season has started. I’m looking forward to it.
