As a new Spring day dawns, darkness begins to change to the pale gold light of this sunrise kingdom. The sun creeps over the horizon and then slowly over the treetops of the forest turning the sky to blue.
I watch the water choppy from an early morning wind, and see rays of pale sunlight cast over it. The birds sing announcing a new day, and ducks are already swimming in the choppy waters.
Midwestern Spring mornings are still pleasantly cool. The heat, humidity of summer days is still a distant seasonal promise yet to arrive.
