Spring Blooming Lilacs

It’s Spring! An old fishing proverb “When the lilacs bloom, the white bass run” still holds true. I’ve seen lots of fishermen line the banks of rivers casting their lines.

I’ve also seen people fishing the sloughs, lakes and quarries. It might be early to fish for trout or channel cat, catfish. Still it’s nice to take a rod and head to the water; and practice casting a line while enjoying the scenery.

The beautiful smell of lilacs scents the air, as everyone keeps trying to snag a bass.

Enjoy the blooms and good luck with the fishing.
