Spring Grasshopper Sparrow

Thunderstorms have cooled the temperature and turned the sky in to a rolling gray clouds. The force of nature is something to behold in the wide open space of a wild prairie.

To hear the trill of the Grasshopper Sparrow gives me a thrill as I watch wind cause green waves of grass. The wind makes a rustling sound through the acres of grasses. It’s these subtle changes in landscape caused by nature and changes of weather that enhances its beauty.

The wildflowers are just starting to appear. It’ll be late in spring before the acres of prairie are a blooming sea of colors.
