Summer is alive with sounds of crickets, frogs and birds. I watched a Monarch butterfly flitting so quickly in front of me hither and yon between flowers and plants. It seemed to dance in tune to the sounds of nature.
I took this photo as the butterfly stopped on a thistle. The butterflies bold markings stood out against the green and purple thistles.
It’s such a simple pleasure to watch a butterfly dance on a warm summer day. I see why to so many people it symbolizes freedom.
Beautiful butterfly and thistles
in a hazy summer woods 🙂
Lovely. Is the butterfly a Painted Lady?
I’m not sure, but love the name Painted Lady. 🙂
