There is no wind-driven snow blanketing trails, fields and frozen lakes. It’s December with warm sunlight and still buzzing insects in temperatures only requiring a hoodie or jacket. My body feels tied to the ebb and flow of this weather as I walk well-traveled trails passing by others reveling in the warm weather. I can’t help thinking back to last year around the same time. There was snow hugging the banks of the lake, and ice on the trail.
Last year’s snowy winter is tucked away in my memory like a frosty dream. I’ll keep walking the trails and enjoy this bonus warm weather. Hope you do too.
