When summer fades, all of the warm weather flowers have bloomed and petals litter the garden path.
But as I walk near a wetlands in this early fall, I see St. Michaelmas daisies, asters, have just unfurled their petals for the fall. The asters are floral symbols of fall to me. The dainty flowers look so pretty by the waterside path. So although the warm weather lingers and the leaves have not begun their colorful display, blooming asters are a sign that fall is on its way.
