Winter Foggy Road

foggy road

foggy road

The snow has melted on the roads. It’s been replaced by a cold, misty fog covering everything in a shroud of gray. The trees are stark and bare in winter’s cold stare. The fog creeps in like a cat.

I think of this poem as I look out at the road.

    The fog comes
    on little cat feet.

    It sits looking
    over harbor and city
    on silent haunches
    and then moves on.
